Where is it?

This fully integrated hotel, convention venue, retail, and leisure complex is ideally situated in the heart of Bangkok. The Bangkok Convention Centre is here, while CentralWorld is the biggest shopping complex in Southeast Asia. It has some 500 shops, the largest bookstore in Thailand, the largest sporting goods outlet, 50 restaurants, a good supermarket, a 21-screen cinema, and a bowling alley.

The hotel is also close to the numerous small alleyways and streets that make up the remarkable Pratunam Market. It’s one of the biggest markets in Bangkok, and a good place to look for everything from cut-price clothing to sequin ball gowns.  

The Hotel

There are 505 rooms and suites here, including nine executive floors. There are nine restaurants and bars too, including Fifty Five – a glorious 55th-floor venue with impressive views across the city skyline. The Red Sky bar, also on the 55th floor, is an outdoor cocktail joint with breathtaking views.  

The rooms are certainly comfortable, and come with all the latest gadgets, including a multimedia connector for your video, camera, MP3, laptop, games, and iPod. All rooms have elevated city views. The swimming pool is amongst Bangkok’s largest.

The Spa

Bankok’s newest spa centre, Spa Cenaree at the Centara Grand at Central World was voted ‘Best New Spa –Thailand,’ in the Asia Spa & Wellness Festival Gold Awards 2009.

Each spa experience takes you on a voyage of pure bliss through the healing powers of water complemented by the curative elements of Thai herbs, aromatherapy, flower essence and human touch.

There are many wonderful massages, body wraps and polishes, pedicures and manicures, jet lag relievers and spa packages available. Some treatments are aimed specifically at men.

Try a Tibetan Pa-Lang Experience, using heated Himalayan river stone coated with drizzling, warm oils. Or an Enhancement Treatment Samunprai, which uses a rich blend of herb filled-poultices to relieve muscular pains, and stiffness through deep heat.
