Products with an Australian leaning always spark our attention at Day Spa Guide. LI'TYA has plenty of them. The company is influenced by aspects of ancient Aboriginal culture and uses native flora in combination with more traditional aromatherapy ingredients. The products use nutrient rich plant oils instead of the petroleum mineral oils and the company sources ingredients that don't contain pesticides or other nasties. It also partners with suppliers whose harvesting methods bring minimal disturbance to the environment.

She says: This lightly scented lotion comes in a satisfyingly large tube - from someone with dry skin in much need of regular moisturising, this seems good value. And a little goes a long way with this lotion - a dollop of the pale, dusky pink cream was enough to smooth over my whole arm. Lightly scented with a pleasant combination of essential oils, the lotion rubbed in easily and left my skin feeling soft and fresh. The scent lingered on my skin but was not overpowering. I liked the 'What & Why' ingredient list on the tube which explained what each ingredient was for. For those not in the know, cherry alder is "an extract traditionally eaten to ease the respiratory system...has a very high level of vitimin C to act as an antioxidant, stimulate cell growth and repair skin". Can't argue with that.

What is it? A powerful blend of natural Tasmanian Peat that is rich in proteins, trace elements, minerals and pure essential oils. This bath elixir promotes wellness and rejuvenation as it soaks away life’s stresses and tension.

What's so good about Tasmanian peat? Peat is made up of 50% organic matter. It's rich in proteins, vitamins and
trace minerals, and it’s moisture content is said to be as high as 75%, which
makes it an excellent skin hydrator. Peat is accredited with reducing
inflammation and increasing blood circulation. It works to calm eczema and
psoriasis and to heal soft tissue injuries. It is reputed to help with sciatica,
rheumatoid arthritis and any type of muscular pain and fatigue. Meanwhile, kaolin earth clay tightens pores, extracts toxins and soothes the body.
When to use it? As a luxurious addition to your regular bath.
He says: Call me indulgent, but I have several baths a week - it's a regular part of my wellness and creative-thinking routine. So, when I found out about this intriguing product I just had to try it. As soon as I opened the bottle I knew I was in for something special. You need to add two capfulls to a bath and as I poured the first I was immediately struck by the product's colour and scent. The liquid has body and is a delicious dark fawn in colour with a very subtle greyish/purplish tint. It smells complicated but balanced, spa-like, and slightly citrusy - but it's not a strong smell, certainly not overwhelming. It hints of things. If the ocean didn't smell as good as it does then you'd want it to smell something like this.
The mixture foams easily under a running tap, and surprisingly the colour dissipates almost at once. It feels luxurious and slightly silky though and the lingering scents act to slow my mind. I leave the bath sometime later feeling very relaxed and pampered. I would definately use this product on a regular basis.
