The Fifth Element
Breathtaker On High’s concept and design is based on the embodiment of the four
elements: fire, water, earth and air. The result being the fifth element: known in Medieval Latin as Quinta Essentia. The fifth and highest element in an ancient and medieval philosophy that permeates all of nature and is the substance composing the celestial bodies.
Thought to be first postulated by the Pythagoreans, Quinta Essentia is necessary to explain the diversity and multiplicity of life, the finest or best of any substance. It embodies the philosophies and goals of Breathtaker — to ensure you have the ultimate experience in comfort, quality and service.
A favourite with families and couples alike, Breathtaker offers exceptional alpine hospitality, unparalleled customer service and incomparable facilities. Breathtaker’s well appointed, self contained suites offer a kitchenette, TV, DVD, an Ipod dock and a drying cupboard.
Breathtaker’s off-mountain parking and private four-wheel-drive transfer system is a must. Treat your family or your partner to the very finest Mt Buller has to offer.
Apart from the spa, other highlights include, The Loft Lounge & Bar (open all snow season), BT Gourmet Pizzeria (open from 26 June), Signature Restaurant (open 26 June), in house room service (from 26 June), guest ski lockers, free kids' play room, free kids' playstation zone, free kids' bean bag movie zone, free kids' movie channel, free in-house movies, 4th level family spa and steam room (separate from day spa), and fireplaces.
The hotel and spa is just 80 metres from the Holden six person chair lift, and 100 metres from Mt Buller’s ski school. There is ski-in/ski-out access to the hotel, snow permitting.
Arrive early and stay late using Breathtaker’s change rooms including showers and lockers.
