The SpaSettled amongst the spectacular scenery and pristine environment of the World Heritage-listed Lord Howe is the Island’s only full day spa. Here, caring Spa Consultants perform the ancient art of Ayurveda.
Ayurda in Sanskrit means “bestower of longevity”. This is achieved by the use of special products, skin care, massage, and other beauty treatments. Ayurvedic science itself is a Holistic medicine, and a system of health care that offers natural balance at a physical, mental and emotional level.
The Spa’s Mongolian yurt nestles under giant Banyan trees. The combination of ancient Ayurveda with the aura of the yurt delivers a potent, healing mystique found in few places in the world.
Ayurveda is the original source of many modern day natural therapies, born from ancient Indian wisdom. Ayurveda therapy and practice promotes the power to heal rapidly and easily, using herbs, oils, body therapies, mantra and lifestyle tools. Its eternal principles and tools enhance understanding of self, and make clear the most effective treatment for healthy living.
The team behind this unique wellness offering are Kim & Scott. They are both in their early 30’s and are fully qualified Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle consultants. Both Kim and Scott are dedicated to their calling – they embrace the science in their personal lives, and seek to pass on the joy and beauty of Ayurveda to others. Kim & Scott offer clients an opportunity to experience a holistic natural approach to health, beauty and relaxation.
The Arajilla Spa Menu is extensive. It includes facials, massage, Shirodhara and Body Treatments. Ayurda products are available for sale. Opening hours daily 10 am – 6 pm. Open to all guests on the island to enjoy.

Massages: Relaxation – Hot Stone – Ayuvedic. Others: Facials, body treatments, detoxifying, foot ritual, head massages, diet & lifestyle consultations. It's just heaven. Stay and spa packages are available.
Meandering pathways lead you through rainforest gardens to spacious and luxurious one bedroom and two bedroom suites nestled within a Kentia Palm forest. Reaching high above are ancient Banyan trees, which make for a magnificent sight from your private deck.
Meanwhile, Arajilla Restaurant is popular with all visitors to Lord Howe Island as the place to dine. Amongst the forest, surrounded by timber decks, the Restaurant serves delicious international style cuisine, complemented by a wide choice of wines. Seafood naturally features with the evening speciality often Kingfish freshly caught by your Arajilla host Bill Shead.
For guests the tariff includes breakfast, lunch and dinner: we always recommend a hearty cooked breakfast for those with a full days' activities ahead, though a light continental is naturally available. For lunch in the Restaurant – hot or cold? Its up to you!
Volcanic peaks, verdant rainforests, white sand beaches, rolling surf and tranquil lagoons combine to form an idyllic experience on Lord Howe Island. Visitors have the opportunity to view prolific bird and marine life, and to discover the world's most southern coral reefs. Amazing bushwalking, fishing, surfing, bird-watching, artist retreats, scuba diving, snorkelling, and wading into the crystal-clear water while hundreds of giant fish dart around your legs - just perfect.
The crescent shaped main island of Lord Howe is only 11 km from north to south and up to 2.8 km wide.
Dominating the landscape to the south are the spectacular mounts of Gower (875 m.) and Lidgbird (777 m.). Its coral reef, on the south-western side, encloses the calm turquoise lagoon. Giant Banyan trees and Kentia Palm forests spread across the island.
The best way to explore the island is either on foot or by bicycle.
